Don't even bother, Soph, he just wants to get people upset because he's a complete loser, and since he's miserable, everyone else should be miserable, too.

Has anyone here gotten in off the waitlist or heard of any waitlist news recently?

I'm over in 27 Monroe... like a previous post, I did the housing thing late so I can't complain! I'm excited/nervous, can't wait to start but still apprehensive. Argh, I wish they would send out section/class/casebook info already!

Hey guys...I'm FT too.

Just read the news: http://www.law.com/jsp/nlj/PubArticleNL ... hbxlogin=1#

I find it slightly unnerving that in a *prepared* statement they likened Wexler's new position to CEO. Good for you, have a president, run the place more like a uni--but don't make it feel like a corporation... They need new PR people.

I'd also be curious where you found that info about the "200+ pages," loklin. I'm not concerned about the reading as much as wondering why I don't know this already.

Goosey, buy a macbook pro at the Apple Store and get your books at the Brooklyn Law bookstore across the street from campus. Simple--it'll take three hours tops. Enjoy your time out of the country!

At this point I don't think there is anything we are suppose to know. I keep checking the BLS Connect website and they haven't really put up any information. I am hoping we get our packets with schedules and sections soon, then atleast we would have some information to go off of.

IMMUNIZATIONS

Incoming students are required to submit proof of immunization. Your immunization information must be filed with Nancy Balzano in the Registrar’s Office by fax at (718) 780-7548 or by mail at Brooklyn Law School, Registrar’s Office, 250 Joralemon Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11201 no later than Aug. 1 in order to attend classes that following fall.
Were we already suppose to hand in our immunization form or is this something that will be sent to us in the upcoming weeks with our class schedule?

the immunization forms are avaliable in pdf on blsconnect (Measles, Mumps and Rubella Immunization, and Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccination Response Form)

info on convocation (from New Student Orientation Calendar):

CONVOCATION AND RECEPTION
Sunday, August 15, 3 – 7PM
Members of Brooklyn Law School’s Entering Class of 2013/14 will launch their law school careers at Convocation. Students will be introduced to the Law School community as they are formally welcomed by Interim Dean Michael Gerber, faculty, administrators and current students.
Report to the Main Law School building at 250 Joralemon Street at 3 PM for check-in. At this time you will meet your Student Advisor, who will introduce you to the Law School and answer questions you may have about the first year in law school. The name of your Advisor is on the Class Schedule in your Orientation Folder.
After a meeting with your Advisors, you will proceed to the NYS Supreme Court for the Convocation ceremony, which begins at 6 PM. Following the ceremony, the Law School community will gather for a reception at the United States Courthouse for the Eastern District of New York.

i have this schedule on orientation classes and reading materials for the case reading workshop, i can email you guys if you want it, just pm me with your email address. :)
