Macs are fairly common around school. Exam4 (WCL's exam software of choice) has a Mac version that works fine (from what I've been told -- I'm a PC user). There's a tech helpdesk in the library -- the "only PCs are supported" line might mean that they can only troubleshoot general Windows issues.

In any event, should your Mac go haywire during the school year and you need to ship it off for repairs, etc., you can always borrow a laptop from the library to use in the meantime.

do you think it's okay to email our professors to ask what supplements they recommend? i'd love to buy all this in advance to get the best prices...

I would wait until classes start. Prices for things like E&Es aren't exactly going anywhere, and hornbooks, etc. are all available in the reserve section at Pence (and they usually have multiple copies). IMO, professors make it pretty clear as to what their policies on supplements are. (For instance, Ks professor didn't really approve of supplement use, Torts prof encouraged using Glannon, and Property prof made a couple of supplements required reading -- though in that last case, I suppose it wouldn't be a "supplement" anymore.)

On a somewhat related note, I'd be happy to answer questions about WCL -- though I'm sure you'll be getting a lot of guidance during orientation.

Hey - how do you know what section you're in? I just got my schedule - didn't see any reference to my section.

Thanks!

Section 4.

Anybody still looking for housing / roommates? The WCL admitted students page activity seems to have gone silent.

New to the thread. Anyone other PT-ers out there? Technically Class of 2014, but who's counting (other than AU, of course).

Hearing great things about Pike and Popper.

I had Pike my 1L year. Very, very nice guy. Somewhat soft-spoken, but has a great (quirky) sense of humor. Things are a bit confusing in the beginning, but by the end of the class, he wraps it up nicely for you. PM me if you have any questions about him.

From what I've been told, Popper is also a very great professor -- he taught Torts to the part-time students last year; my roommate (part-timer) told me great things about him. I only saw him at orientation and a few other times -- seemed like a really nice guy.
