Hilton Garden has the best location as it is downtown. It is close to Scotty's, Sports, and everything on Kirkwood. Comfort Inn, Crown Plaza, and the Hampton (Kinser area) are near the football stadium, but it is walkable. The law school in centrally located on campus so you will not find a convenient hotel that I am aware of.

I'm going to talk to admissions on Monday morning to see what they suggest, but this is pretty unsettling.
It's parents weekend for a lot of Greek houses. Try the Student Union sgain (they may have last minute cancelations)for your hotel - it's a great location, nice rooms and priced right

Nah, I already booked the Hampton Inn. It's fine.

I tried the Garden Inn, but it was booked, too.

Right now, the only hesitation I have is the location. If I can get a greater sense of portability for the degree, it might make my decision a lot smoother. I want to clerk and then go into either NPO or Federal Gov't (DOJ/EPA preferably).
I don't know if this helps, but I know of an Assistant US attorney working in San Diego who got his degree from IU. I'm (hopefully) meeting up to talk with him soon about the transition, I'll let you know what he says

Sweet. I'm looking forward to going back to Bloomington already. Hopefully this time there won't be a shit ton of snow.

I just got accepted with instate tuition, has anyone been able to get scholarship money increased? I got way more money from U Illinois... I like Indiana, but without a comparable scholarship, I dont think I can even think of taking them over UIUC

There hasn't been a whole lot of discussion about it lately, but there needs to be, since SLD is coming up in two weeks. General consensus so far is that we're doing the much-hyped pub crawl on Friday night, getting up and doing all of the SLD stuff on Saturday morning, and do the IU-sponsored social event at Nick's, followed by a group of TLS IU 1L's (led by Spoonmanners, if I remember correctly) showing the 0L's some more good places. Anyone have any ideas on some details?

Should we take it to the fb group?

I don't see why not. I think most of the people on there are on TLS anyway.

no, i didn't get around to it. i swiped a friend of mine's account and checked out the page, then spent an hour stalking everyone i've ever met. fb would be dangerous for me if I had an account.
sorry to hear i missed a possibly legendary night on saturday, but after much consideration and lots of reviewing with my wife I think I'll be committing this week to IU.
also, I was totally on the same plane with at least two other IU law people flying into BWI on sunday.

I think people are just posting in the "in" thread. I honestly don't know what the difference is between this thread in that, realistically.

I think the difference is supposed to be that the "In" threads or "2010" threads would be about applying/getting-in, whereas this thread is supposed to be for people who are either definitely gonna go or are seriously considering enrolling.
