I plan to attend BU in the Fall. I am from MN and I'm considering going to the ASW next weekend. Anyone else flying in for that? Not sure if it's worth it for just a day.

Hello all! I just turned my deposit in yesterday!!!! Now I'm worried about housing- do you guys know where you will be living? Are any of you from/already living in Boston? I visited the area earlier this year though unfortunately I couldn't make any of the ASDs (they sounded like fun!)- any suggestions on affordable neighborhoods? I will be in Illinois until the move and I'm trying to figure out a way to secure an apartment without traveling back out to Boston (if possible.) Any suggestions are appreciated! So excited!

I just submitted my deposit today! So excited!

On a different note, I currently live in Brookline (Coolidge Corner) about a 20 min walk or 5 min T ride + 5 min walk from the law tower. I would love to stay in my apartment because I am literally right next to the Trader Joe's and within a 5 min walk to about 50 restaurants, a movie theater, and shopping. I currently have 2 roommates but one of the girls is moving out the end of may so her room would be opening up. Rent is only $600 a month, which is unbeatable in this location! (The 2 girls who I moved in with have had this apartment for awhile and they have negotiated the rent to remain the same for the whole time at least one of them is on the lease.) PM me if interested!

Did anyone try to negotiate scholarship? I hear they are reluctant to increase it.

I went from 0-->10k per year. I had 7,500 from Fordham per year and 15k for the first year at GWU. I am above both medians though.

I have written in my planner that orientation starts Thursday, August 26.

I'm trying to look for places online. I've emailed a few places/people. Hoping to find a decent place at a "decent" price.

I look forward to seeing everyone in the fall!

August 1st here. I'm living in the North End which as far ask I can tell is the fucking boardwalk/parkplace of boston. It's my only option though (for complicated reason).

I'm trying to work as long as I can. I've contacted a few apartment locators, but ideally I'd like to move early to mid-August. Let me know if anyone finds a GREAT locator!
