Was this for the SF office or the SD office?

For SF: I could have sworn I was told the hiring committee was meeting weekly, but I may have misheard.

I wasn't the poster who got dinged but SD office told me they met weekly as well and made decisions on a rolling bassi, so chances are the SF office does the same.

pretty sure MoFo SF is doing tiered/rolling so i'd take no news as good news.

and if you really want to know where you stand, just call them.

rolling as in not following NALP? Why do you think that? Curious... and do you think you'll take it given kind of the shaky situation w/ layoffs/deferrals/salary freezes, etc?

I think rolling is acceptable under NALP...it's just giving offers to the strongest candidates first and waiting to see who accepts/declines before extending more offers. I've never heard of a NALP requirement for giving offers all at once.

Agreed. NALP doesn't say anything about how or when a firm may give out offers. It only regulates what the firm can do once those offers are handed out (e.g. not rescind the offer before 45 days).

This is anon above with the SF offer.

Mofo deferred class of 2009 to april 2010, but it supposedly had a near 100% offer rate this summer. Could be that they're seeing work pick up? No idea on the start date for the SAs this past summer though. I think we won't know how they are doing as a firm until we get closer to that april 2010 date. Wish I knew more.

Does anyone know SF's anticipated class size for next summer?

I was told they weren't planning on substantially cutting the size of the summer class (who knows if that's true or not).

How long between CB and offer for you, if you don't mind me asking.

slightly over 2 weeks. i'll be accepting it soon since it's the only one i have. ITE has been rough, even to T14 top 20% people.

ITE is screwing everything up.

I'm hoping that the silence from MoFo SF is a good sign for me. I think the hiring committee has met (depending on if we believe that it's meeting weekly or every other week)... no ding letter for me, so this is at least a neutral sign.

Trying not to be neurotic, but did anyone get an offer last week / so far this week? I'm going nuts with the lack of information.

For those wondering, Morrison & Foerster's San Francisco office gave out offers late this past week (Wed-Fri).

So has anyone else not heard from MoFo SF yet? I'm starting to think my rejection letter got lost in the mail or something. :( My callback was a month ago.
