1/7 here. i feel pretty stupid too about my CB success too. but we have an offer. mine is my top choice in my target market so i am counting my lucky stars. it only takes one!

Kudos to those with offers. It only takes one!

Has anyone heard from Goodwin Procter in California (Menlo Park)?

Interviewee as well. :D It may be because I am the youngest of six kids and have been exposed to people of all ages for as long as I remember. I've always been able to "talk" to anyone; never been shy. My looks (female) are probably above average, but not gorgeous, and I have been described as feisty...

Don't freak out--you may have a learning curve. I struck out on my first two cbs but got offers at the rest. I think my interviewing style improved with practice. Good thing I didn't have my first-choice firm early in the process.

Interesting. Do you know of any offers being sent out from there? And if so what schools/credentials? Thanks, good luck.

Top 20% at a Top 20.
Secondary Journal/Moot Court
10+ OCI interviews
4 callbacks (V10; V25; V25; V100).
1 offer at a V25.
Accepted.

Process done, I feel very blessed.

Thanks for the info. I'm concerned about their DC office though.

I just don't understand how I can have nearly similar stats, yet have 15+ interviews in secondary markets only, no vault firms, and have 1 callback and 0 offers.

WTF am I supposed to do now?

I'm sorry. There is a reason why I said I felt blessed. I'm not sure where you're at, but at my Top 20, most people around the Top 20% got a mix of V50-100 and Midlaw firms at OCI... about 3-4 callbacks, and 0-1 offers. I would say the number of people with 1 offer is equal to the number of people with no offer. I wasn't "selected" during OCI by the V10, V25, V25 firms.

I completely struck out on mass emailing firms, including in my home state. I was nervous last week (before the offer came in) so I applied to about 50 government jobs. My contingency plan was to try to get a government/public interest gig in a specialized area of law, so that 3L year I'd be more marketable to firms that practice that type of law. Not saying that it is great advice, but that is what I was going to do.

In any case, I wish you (and everyone) the best of luck!

Perhaps different t20? There is a big difference in prospects between a lot of the schools that get lumped into t20. Are you at WUSTL?

Re: Bingham

No idea about offers but I got dinged by e-mail 11 days following my CB. (DC office).

Hope you have better luck. My favorite thing about Bingham was their color scheme, by far.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
