Well, it's finally over.

T30, Top 15%, LR, slight work experience.

15 Screening interview

8 Callbacks, only 4 in my major market of choice.

Of those 4 in the primary market: 2 rejections, 1 offer, 1 pending. I accepted the offer yesterday and I'm withdrawing from the final outstanding firm tomorrow.

I consider myself insanely fortunate right now.

Top 10% + LR @ CCN. 27 screening interviews, 14 CBs, 9 interviews taken, 4 offers, 4 rejections, and one "pending."

Observations: I'm an abysmal interviewee. I only managed to get offers from grade-whore firms, where I had far less competition (most of my socially adept colleagues were screened out based on grades), and where I didn't have to convince partners and associates of my interest--they just assumed anyone who interviewed was interested. Conversely, I did poorly with regional/less selective firms, where the competition for "fit" was much fiercer.

A few markets, but don't want to name them right now (not NY or DC)
Now that OCI has been over for a bit, I'll update PLIP info and give OCI info.

PLIP:
~20 Interviews

OCI:
~20 Interviews

I've started to decline a few (without any offers, but I couldn't possibly do that many CBs). Narrowing down markets and types of firms. I honestly don't understand why the response has been so good. The mix of applying broadly, my background (will just say it's a BS in an engineering discipline), and grades could be it, but I thought no LR would really hurt me. I'd guess I'm an above average interviewee, but nothing spectacular. I'd really like to finish this up soon so I can try and throw these CBs back into the pool (if firms are really doing that) for my classmates to take advantage of.
Ended up doing ~38 total screening interviews
Went on 13 of 27 CBs
After CBs: 3 rejections, 6 offers, and 4 pending that I declined after accepting an offer.

Now time to focus on school...

I've posted before, but just to avoid the long quotes:

T10 school
Top 5-10%
LR
13 screening
7 cbs
5 offers (2 V10)

Anyone else afraid they'll have their offer rescinded? How often does that actually happen?

MVPB
Top 10%, secondary journal

29 screening interviews (including OCI and pre-OCI spam)
12 CB's (went on 10)
5 offers
5 dings

Got offers at what were my top two choices since before interviews started, wavered over which to take, ended up taking the original #1.

I don't think it's a coincidence that among people who are getting an offer or two, it ends up having been their top choice. It is much easier to be (very) successful in an interview with a firm that you are genuinely excited about and have been able, in your own mind, to distinguish from others all along.

It seems like there's an overrepresentation of people in the top 10% of t10s in this thread.

Also, how do you know you're in the top 10% of the a t10? I thought all t10s didn't rank people?

What the hell?

Did you cure cancer or something before you came to law school?

Based on what I've read here, what I've learned from friends and colleagues, and my own experiences, solid work experience is making a big difference this year.

I was top 25%. Career services told me that was their guess.

I agree. But still... 3 offers at a top 1/3 from a T40 would have been decent in a good economy. Absolutely crazy this year. Seriously, congrats; must have amazing work experience and be a ridiculously good interviewer.

You can derive a rough ranking from class rank awards given out at CLS and NYU or LR grade on cutoffs at UVA. I assume you can do the same at many other schools.

No, I didn't quite cure cancer, but, without giving it away, my work experience was really unique, and I think I am a really good interviewer.

CCN
Slightly above median (maybe top 40%)
37 screening interviews
2 callbacks (rejection from one, no answer from other)

3 callbacks via networking/brilliant mass-mailing strategy
1 offer through that

Six figures in a crap economy.

Very fortunate.

DCNG, top 25%, didn't do write-on competition.

18 OCI interviews, 2 callbacks, 2 rejections.

Time to consider dropping out or taking some time off.

DCNG

Not sure approximate rank. Maybe top 20%. Secondary journal.

OCI screening interviews - 12
Callbacks from OCI - 2
Offers -1
Post-OCI screening interviews obtained by targeting alums - 4
Callbacks - 3
Offers - 2

Feel very very lucky. Many peers with similar stats struck out or are still waiting with no offers in hand.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
