No new acceptances this week yet, but I wanted to update the internship locations.

I have counted 12 acceptances to SEO on TLS.

Commitments

3 Harvard
3 Penn
2 Michigan
2 Columbia
1 Duke
1 Yale

8 had follow up interviews, and 4 did not

So far we have 8 NYC, 3 DC, and 1 SF.

Congrats to everyone that is in so far. I appreciate all your responses.

During your research, have you ascertained how many applicants are presently in the waiting zone?

It's been about exactly a week since my follow up -- I have another job offer that I have to accept by Friday. Should I just go ahead and accept that, assuming that I didn't get the SEO gig since they haven't gotten back to nearly 10 days later (which it would be on Friday)? After all, most acceptances do hear back within days of the follow up, so I'm likely out, no?

If you really want SEO talk to them and let them know your situation. They will work with you many times. It won't hurt to ask.

Did you deposit at a school and let SEO know? If so, how long ago did you notify them?

I deposited at a school about three weeks ago. I only had my follow up last week, due to scheduling issues. It's been just barely over a week since I had the follow up now.

Part of me was considering doing this, but I am worried about ticking them off. I know they have a boatload of applicants who aren't pressuring them to pick by a certain date, and since I don't see myself as a star candidate, I figured I'd just get ready for a long ride. I think I will likely accept this other job Friday, since I'm probably out of the running for SEO, and if, by some miracle, I get SEO, then I will definitely take it. I just spoke with someone at the place I might go to if SEO doesn't come through and she said that I should tentatively accept Friday and should back out before April 22nd so they have enough time to find a replacement.

No new acceptances yet this week.

PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO SEO THIS WEEK (or before this week if you are new to this thread)!

I will continue to update this thread as TLSers get accepted and I will do everything I can to make your information anonymous. Many of you have messaged me and I am happy to answer questions (to the best of my knowledge) but please forgive me if I overlook your message or if it takes more than a day to get back to you.

Good luck to all of you still waiting. If feel like there will be some big movement soon with seat deposits due this weekend.

Can anyone who's been accepted PM me about how the follow up interviews work? Have you all heard during/soon after your follow up, or did it take awhile for them to get back to you? Tyia!

Have any rejections gone out yet? It seems that they're making decisions later this year than previously.

Yeah, either that or people are too scared to report having received a decision. I imagine that they'll want to give out the rest of their decisions fairly soon. I mean, most of their interns will have to work on trying to find summer housing ASAP.

I had my follow up interview in February before I picked a school (I chose a law school last Thursday and sent in my deposit slip to SEO the same day).

Is anyone else in my boat or did you guys all have your follow up interview after you picked a school?

Had my follow up interview recent-ish and also deposited recent-ish and sent confirmation.

Just have to wait now...apparently my school didn't send the transcript when I requested they send it previously :?

So it's on the way up there now hopefully that won't hurt me too much.

I heard SEO London offers students in-depth training, high quality mentoring and summer vacation placements with the leading corporate law firms in the City of London. The ultimate goal is for this experience to lead to a training contract – in the past nine years more than 80% of SEO summer experience students have been offered full-time graduate roles with partner firms, and in excess of 40% have received multiple job offers.
