Just wondering. I have a unique situation going on, where I accepted with another employer (public interest) but didn't find housing yet (intentional). Luckily, my PI employer and SEO market are in the same city. I probably won't do my housing search until I can get an answer from SEO.
It REALLY is very much on a case by case basis. Decisions are NOT rolling. So it's not like you send in your deposit and 3 weeks later you get an answer. I sent in my deposit in 2012 (ED) and got in in March. But I know another ED'r who has not gotten an answer. And if you read back on the thread some people did not find out until the end of April (either accept/reject)
So if you haven't been accepted, you still could be. They are just waiting for everyone to send in their deposits.

Also for anyone fretting about doing Skype interviews, my first interview was via Skype.

Alum here.

To the person asking if you can get into the program if you plan to attend a T20 school, the answer is yes. However, the bulk of those accepted will be attending T14 schools. One thing that I think helped me is that I had multiple T10 acceptances and my interviewer was aware of it. It wasn't until scholarship awards, admitted students weekends, etc. came into play that I decided to go with my T20 school. Sidenote: I LOVE it here, so follow your heart and consider class size, school culture, job prospects, and long-term consequences of debt and not just rankings.

If SEO only cared about whether your school was ranked 12 or 15, they wouldn't have multiple interviews. They also look at other factors like whether you're professional, respectful to others, good at communicating (oral and written) and if you could work well with lawyers at the top firms in the country. They want people they can TRUST to represent them and uphold SEO's stellar reputation in the legal community.

So yeah, if you're thinking about attending a T20 don't completely count yourself out. I'm not going to lie and say that SEO chooses a ton of people outside of the T14, but you still have a chance, especially if they know you've been accepted to other top schools.

Best of luck to all of those that are still waiting! :)

P.S. GW, USC, and UCLA are prime examples of SEO alum T20 schools.

so, my cycle has been a pretty crazy one thus far. I am still waiting due to a variety of factors (financial aid, pending interviews) and cannot deposit at my T6 school probably until the end of April. Do you think that will be okay? Do you think reaching out and letting them know that "I plan to attend X, but am waiting due to Y?" I have also had two interviews.

Send them a brief email; it can't hurt.

Yeah, I told them I had an unexpected acceptance during my follow-up interview, and they didn't seem to mind it. They just told me to post my seat deposit "as soon as you can."

Haha seriously! I like your priorities.

Just being able to make any final summer plans'd be nice, concert tickets included.

Hey guys. Is the enrollment confirmation something that a school sends us after they have processed our deposit, or is it the sheet that we signed with our deposit?

It can be anything that says you've deposited. A screenshot of a status checker qualifies so long as it says something about a deposit being received/confirmed.
