If you don't mind me asking, where are you currently deployed?

Not the sort of information I want on a public message board. Sorry.

Air Force OTS generally has a better finger on the pulse of the accessions boards:

Capt Bateman,

Would you mind checking the FLITE recruiting page every so often to see if there's any updates on the Oct board? I'm just obsessively biting my nails right now, and pretty soon I'm going to nibble down to my cuticles (and that's just not very attractive).

Best case, selectees may hear something next week. Worst case, you may be waiting till the end of the month. Beyond that, I am loathe to use my FLITE access for public distribution of information as JAX keeps it off of open channels for a reason.

If you go to the AFOTS JAG page, linked above, you can join the dozen or so posters there who are obsessively talking about the board.

Just uploaded the last of my documents and Letters of Recommendation for the Navy JAG Student Program. I'm nervous something is going to go wrong, so I've been double checking everything and everything seems alright. I followed all the instructions to the letter and yet I feel like I'm forgetting something. I really hate that feeling. The deadline is tomorrow. Good luck to everyone out there applying!

The Army JAG online application takes forever to load and upload documents.

Good luck, guys. One of my friends was commissioned last year. I hope we all get similar results!

Anyone else checking the Navy site even though we know results won't be up for several weeks?

Several weeks? Isn't it more like December for the Navy app?

Where does the Navy post results anyways? I just realized that I don't know. Doesn't seem like there's a place on the careers site or the main site. Or do they just e-mail/call people to let them know?

Edit: I just realized it says our status on the application website.

When do you guys think we'll hear from Navy? The week of Dec. 5th is the 8th week after the application deadline.

What about Army? First or second week of January?

Yeah, the Navy application status will change from "Applied" to "Professionally Recommended," "Professionally Recommended as an Alternate," or my personal favorite from last year, "Not Recommended."

I wouldn't bet on the week of the 5th based on past cycles. The 12th seems more likely and it's the last full week before the holidays.

As far as the Army goes, last year the results dropped the first week of January. Still finishing up that application.

I plan on applying for AF FLEP in the coming months and noticed they require a one page motivational statement. Anyone have any ideas about how to write it? I am already active duty AF (5+ years) so joining the military, serving my country, etc. really doesn't apply except the fact that I want to continue to serve. Suggestions/ideas greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Okay, I started off following the AirForceOTS thread, but I can't do it any more. Those three guys who are freaking out every single day, posting eight times a day, going back and forth on what the TJAG did for lunch (humorously), and speculating when the exact hour that calls will go out will be, are driving me nuts. And I thought I was anxious!

Does anyone know if they make calls for the Army 2L internship or do they just post them online first when they come out?

Are the Army JAG sites down for anyone else? Was planning to submit tonight, but I guess I'll have to wait.

Lucky, U.S. AF Jags don't have to go through boot camp...

Here in Canada, our JAG requires 13 weeks of hell like every Infantry applicant, you get treated like shit and have to
do lots of PT, then once it ends, you do 2 weeks of painful boot-camp remake Officer training and then you have to go through tons of written exams to qualify as a JAG.

There's only 153 Active JAGs in Canada...jeez.

I might consider U.S. JAG since i already have a License to practice in U.S. and that my record is not that bad.

Yeah i have a double-citizenship and License to practice in NY and MA.

I'm just waiting for my partnership track to end, if i make partner, good, if not, i'll screw it and i'll go either in-house or JAG.
