Rumor has it the hiring committee met to decide on finalists today. So I assume that means calls will go out soon, but that a lack of a call before today at least is meaningless.

interesting. does that mean they selected the fellows or just that they've narrowed down the field to the last remaining candidates before selecting the fellows?

I'm told they narrow it down to 15 or 20 finalists at some point before now, and then pick the fellows (or maybe a smaller group of finalists?) usually around the end of October. But this year was later than normal, and the hiring committee was supposed to meet yesterday.

Given how late it is, I imagine calls must have been made. Rejection letters were mailed at the end of October last year. I haven’t heard of any offers yet, though.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they hadn’t. I’m almost certain (via a recommender) they had not gone out as of Friday. Have no knowledge if they’ve gone out this week, but suspect not; Monday was a federal holiday, and OSG has had a busy week (four SCOTUS arguments between Tuesday and today).
