Past SLIP Interns: Any difficulty splitting?
To any past interns with DOJ, especially in the litigating components, have you heard of anyone being denied the chance to split the summer with a firm? Since they explicitly say 6 weeks is the minimum, it seems a given that splitting is common. But I have heard some rumblings that this is more difficult to do if you are splitting with a firm rather than another DOJ division or a government agency.

FWIW my firm didn’t let me split with SLIP. I chose the firm anyway.
