Were all of the LR calls yesterday?
Has anyone heard from a non-LR journal yet?

Re: Northwestern OCI 2018
Nothing? I think they expect people to talk in small circles and accept that. The school is not shy about threatening us (see all of Career Services' language about what results if we do not follow all of their OCI rules). You'll notice her e-mail says we should not talk about it, not we cannot talk about it, and her specific example of what not to do is blast out a facebook post. If she finds out you told the same three people who know all your grades and the really embarrassing mistake you made at your first callback this summer, I have a hard time imaging there being any repercussions. I have not told anyone except non-NU friends, though.Anonymous User wrote:So if you tell friends privately about journal membership before it's announced by Susie, what results?

I think the honest answer is we do not know. I would check the NU OCI threads from the last few years to get a sense of how spread out the calls are. I think they give people time to decide, but I do not know how much time.Anonymous User wrote:Were all of the LR calls yesterday?

They give you about 24 hours to consider. You can also accept on the spot. So maybe a few more calls this evening.

Did anyone hear from LR after Wednesday? What other journals have people heard from so far?

JCLC is out
On a different note, anyone have an idea how popular Wilmerhale (NYC) and Crowell & Moring (NYC) are? Think I can snag them in the 15-20 spots? And can I get Schiff Hardin at #12?

Just a heads up in case anyone else didn't notice: uploading and getting your resume approved does not set it as your default, so if you have one in there from winter OCI, either delete it or set new one as the default.

Maybe I should have paid more attention at the OCI meetings than I did, but these interviews are all randomly selected by a computer program based on bids, right? Why does it take a week to get a preliminary list, leaving only 1 week to prepare?

I do not believe career services would be able to articulate a reason if you asked them.Anonymous User wrote:Maybe I should have paid more attention at the OCI meetings than I did, but these interviews are all randomly selected by a computer program based on bids, right? What does "opt in" mean?
How'd everyone do? I got 17/1-20 and then 1/21-40. Hopefully not really paying attention to those late ones doesn't come back to bite me! I was hoping to get a couple more late screeners.

I got 27 screeners; 9 out of my top 10, 13 out of my top 15, 16 out of my top 20, cleaned up 21-40. I'll post a detailed breakdown once OCI season passes.

Also wondering. Sounds like some dinner invites were on the spot, and others were emailed later?Anonymous User wrote:No Weil dinner invite = no CB?
Also, did all Wilkie NYC callbacks get offered on the spot?
