When to follow up?

Postby Anonymous User » Fri Mar 02, 2018 5:11 pm

I have been exchanging some emails with a partner of a firm I’m interested in joining. He said he would look into whether the firm is looking for associates. It has been about a week. Should I wait another week or so before following up?

Thanks all.

2 weeks since last communication, minimum. It's a lead but doesn't sound super promising. When the times comes just follow up and reiterate your interest, but keep looking elsewhere in the meantime.

Anecdotal as this is ….I found that talking works much better than email. Give it two weeks.
