Does a background test typically include a drug test?
I signed an offer letter for a 1L SA position at a large NYC firm last week. It said there would be contingent upon a background check. I smoke weed about once or twice a month, is this anything to worry about?

No. A background check means they will run your name through a criminal database and *maybe* pull a credit report. Very few firms drug test even for full-time hires, let alone 1l summers.
