How long can I ride this job out?

Last fall, I was hired out of law school into an in-house role at a major company. At the last minute I was given the opportunity to work in one of it's lower cost of living offices instead of NYC. They neglected to tell me (until I moved and was ready to start work) that working in this lower cost of living area would come with a lower salary than was in my initial offer for the NYC office. I raised a bit of a stink and after a few days they agreed to pay what my offer letter reflected.

Since I started last August, both of my managers have told me that I “make too much money”. They didn’t give me a yearly bonus (like everyone gets and I should have been eligible for) because my salary is too high. I also listened to a senior manager speak recently and tell my group that he has to talk with the GC every year and justify every position that is surbordinate to him.

I feel like I can’t really get too comfortable here and should just ride this out for as long as it lasts. Am I being paranoid or is this a reasonable reaction?

Yeah you will be the first to go if they need to get rid of someone. Definitely keep your options open.
