Re: Professional Natural Hair
Although seeing black women in the workplace is already few and far between, I think that that the hair appropriate!
From what I have seen and read, as long as the hair is up and out of your face, it is normally professional. I have seen one woman with dreads but she was not a law student/she had more freedom in her hair and was upfront about that to a group of black female law students.

I agree with the above posters, it looks great! I’m a 3L with dreadlocs and never had any issues or people say something about my hair either in school or in my internships. I think that I never had issues because I always make sure it is maintained and out of my face. So I go to the salon regularly to keep them looking nice

Any firm that says this isn't professional is a firm you shouldn't be at.futuresuccessstory wrote:Is this hairstyle professional for biglaw

Of course what ought to be fine and what people who haven't actually met any black people in their lives think are fine can be two different things. That said, you have to live your life

Would the blue be at all a problem? Otherwise I'd strain to see how this could be unprofessional.
