Use your offer to force a response. This is pretty common during OCI or when interviewing with multiple firms.Anonymous User wrote:Guess I'm shit canned at Weil since I had the interview earlier this week. Got another offer to answer by next week too :/
Of course this assumes it’s another firm, not a PI gig or the like.

Does anyone have an idea about the timeline going forward for the rest of the firms? Is it still early or should I be worried that I don't have an offer yet?

Any idea if Davis Polk's CB->offer rate is the same for 1Ls? Maybe even lower?

Heard it was extremely low for 1Ls and basically used as a recruiting tool to establish background/history with students before OCI.Anonymous User wrote:Any idea if Davis Polk's CB->offer rate is the same for 1Ls? Maybe even lower?

Re: 1L SA Thread - C/O 2020
At the risk of sounding bitter and whiny, I'm getting the impression that this is, roughly, the purpose of most 1L programs. Furthermore, it allows the firms to pre-screen candidates who they invite to interview for 2L summer ahead of OCI, sort of circumventing the whole process. I can't help but feel like this is sort of manipulative and one sided.Anonymous User wrote:Heard it was extremely low for 1Ls and basically used as a recruiting tool to establish background/history with students before OCI.Anonymous User wrote:Any idea if Davis Polk's CB->offer rate is the same for 1Ls?
