It's a reality of having different attorney fee structures and generally keeping their big corporate clients happy by charging a discount in comparison to some other big firms in the bigger markets.

Anyway, this is all just to say that MN is a great legal market and I wish the rest of you sincerely the best of luck in nailing down jobs there!
FYI -- market in Minneapolis for entry level is no longer $120. It is at $140. (Dorsey and Faegre are there; others are likely to follow; as you said some like Jones Day are already above).
Just saw this and had to confirm on NALP, but impressed it finally happened. I wonder which firms will match, particularly the locals. I'm assuming at least Robins, Gray Plant, Winthrop, and Frederickson will match, but it'll be interesting to see which other firms match as a result.

This has been a long time coming.
Has anyone heard of firms besides Dorsey and Faegre raising 2018 Minneapolis salaries?

Are any of the local firms still hiring? I have massmailed basically every firm in the area, and most have said they have already filled their summer positions. If anyone has any leads on Twin Cities firms with openings please share.

Just got an email from career services that Fox Rothschild is looking for another 2L SA. Also received an email from an attorney at Chestnut Cambronne which led me to believe they are still looking to fill their needs for next summer.

Mass mail immediately. Should have done that back in August.

Turned down an offer at a large MPLS firm today. Hope someone here gets the slot!
