Touche. Honestly though, what NYC biglaw firm would you choose (for lit)?Martin Brody wrote:Sorry to hear that.Anonymous User wrote:Cravath CB

It was just a joke. I don't know enough to opine about lit firms.

Re: Chicago OCI 2017
Cravath is a fine choice for NY lit if you are comfortable with the partner rotation system and the culture doesn't put you off. Won't work you any more or less hard than its peers and you will get equally high quality cases at each. All of the "best" lit groups in the city, including Cravath, will require you to be lucky or fight for the limited trial opportunities available so be cognizant of that. You will need to "sacrifice" prestige if experience in court is important to you unless you have the patience and stamina to survive until you are somewhat senior. Cravath and its peers will all give you early opportunities to research and write chunks of major motions/pleadings but they will all also have you doing SOME doc review regardless of what they say to recruit you (though it also won't likely be the majority of what you do (even as a first year) by any means, you will be too expensive to justify that).Anonymous User wrote:Touche. Do CBs and possibly second looks at as many firms as you can and compare their manner of assigning work, the types of cases they tend to take and are most exited about and their cultures insofar as you can get a sense of them meeting 4-10 people. Your gut after doing so will probably correct.
