For anyone who was selected as an OCIJ finalist and had their references checked. Did they call them or send an email? I just want to make sure that my references didn't get an email stuck in their spam. Also if it was an email did is come directly from OCIJ or through AVUE?

Haven’t had references checked.

SLIP only designates Tax generally, so I'd assume this is Honors.

They don’t give you an offer into a section. You get hired into CLB generally and then in the spring you submit which offices you’d like to work for and they Place you then. You could get placed in Fraud, National courts or CORPFIN. Also I don't believe they checked my references.

So if mine hasn’t hasn’t changed, I assume this is an indication that I’m out of the running, right?

Judging by Deana's post on Avue yesterday, it sounds like they've completed their designations but she said they could add more before the weekend. Fingers crossed for you!

I’m sorry but I’m not sure what Avue is. I’m an Honor applicant, is Avue a SLIP thing?

Thanks for the encouragement either way.

Avue is the site on which you submitted your application! There's a community board on there where Deana posts updates.

To clarify, they called my employer yesterday. And gave me the offer today. My references weren’t called.
