If it makes you feel any better, Friday is not a holiday for DOJ. This does not mean that the majority of them don't take the day off, but they would have to take a holiday to do so.

Does anyone know when first round offers will be completed and are the offers sent out by court?

Received an offer yesterday from EOIR-OCIJ with the San Diego office. The offer was an email from EOIR, not the specific court. I interviewed on 10/27, my references were checked the following week, and SD was my first choice. Good luck everyone!!!!

Are these OCIJ offer emails coming later in the day or throughout? Wondering if I can limit my stress to the afternoon

Friend got an offer for the Boston court (EOIR-OCIJ) this afternoon. It was their first choice, and they checked the box.

EDITED: Two SLIPs accepted funnel offers for HP, and I'm not sure how many people the Court is hiring.

Same questions as above do you mind saying what court or what state even and if it was one of your choices for location? Congrats and finally some movement.

Thanks! Smaller Midwest court.. 1st preference.

I'm going to the midwest, too! It was my first choice, as well.

I totally understand if you feel uncomfortable answering this, but did you get an offer from a major city in the midwest? I put Chicago as my top choice, and I think it's safe to say that I should be giving up on my dream.

No! Don't give up yet! The person that said that Chicago was offered was SLIP not HP. I am not Anon above, but I have a feeling it isn't Chicago.

I should have clarified. Two SLIPs received funnel offers for HP for the Chicago Court.

I'm curious--how many cities did people rank? I ranked four, but I wonder if I should have ranked more...

Sorry, yes. I'm a non-SLIP offer for Chicago. But we don't know how many clerks they're hiring, or other courts may pleasantly surprise you, so don't give up yet!

I only ranked four as well, but I'm older and less willing to move where I don't have people than I would be if I was 25. I'm worried about it, but I'd rather not get an offer than be at a rural court so...
