How non-Texas? Throughout most of the south or southwest I think you could be ok. Would not wear boots to any firm north of Kansas City or east of Nashville, and even then I think it is questionable. Standing out during SA is generally a bad thing. Don't be the person who grew two inches on Friday because they wore boots.

They're definitely not "cowboys boots" wherever you are.
Oklahoma is a non-Texas market. Or, are you saying they're not "cowboy boots" for a reason other than locale?
Its cause I typed the plural cowboys by accident

Although, you could've been talking about these:

Suit Supply. Go there; way better construction, fit, and style than BB. You can get two of their $399 ones. Italian fabric, fully canvased (not glued like BB probably).

Brooks Brothers and SS are both good options and similarly priced. You may prefer SS's fit and style, but the construction of their suits absolutely is not "way better" than Brooks - both are half canvas and similar in construction. Can't really go wrong with either.

Department store outlets like Saks off have decent suits for a far better price. Usually have them for $199/suit. It can be hit or miss with the house labels, but if you look where it's made and the material, you can cop some that are half or full canvas w Italian wool.

AG or Seven or J Brand are all nice. I like AG Graduate the best, or one of their slimmer fits if you are on the taller/skinnier side. Go to Nordstrom or somewhere and get them, because a lot of times they will only come in one length so will need to be tailored.

You're still a summer so you need to skirt the line between recognizing the dress environment while still dressing for success and looking like a real attorney.

TCR here is a full denim suit.

Levis 511s.
As a serious matter I'm not a slim dude, I own a pair of 511s and they're approaching skinny jean territory on me. I'd have to imagine someone would fine them unprofessionally tight

Jeans are a tough one for me in the office. I prefer like J Crew casual looking chinos. I guess with jeans one should stick with an extremey dark wash?

So can I do "business casual" with suit pants, a patterned button down, tie, and AE? Otherwise I'm gonna have to go buy long pants and I don't wanna. I have some Aldo shoes if AE is too formal. Have jeans but that seems too casual for me.

I'd leave the tie off, but other than that it sounds good to me

Definitely ditch the tie. (a) biz cas means no tie needed and (b) tie with no jacket is gross.

Apparently, it's been a while since I've updated my work wardrobe. I'm at a loss of where to find a reasonably priced work dresses with a conservative hemline. I have nice legs and all but I want my dress to fall slightly above the knee, not mid-thigh. I can only find dresses that meet this requirement at Cos, Theory or Saks. I'm saving for a house so I can't go there. My price point is more Ann Taylor or JCrew but both places have let me down. Any ideas?

If you're in a hot city and will be needing to dry clean your pants multiple times, I'd advise against using suit pants. They may end up looking noticeably different from your jackets, which you probably don't want.
