Kirkland already offered (heard from a friend).
Is your friend at NYU or GU? I get the sense that only NYU students are getting that email.

NYU. They haven't heard anything since the preference request though. So maybe it was nothing.

Had CB with McDermott Chicago yesterday. FWIW, really liked them, seemed like a great place to work.

Did anyone actually get a law firm job other than what's been noted above? It appears to me that hiring this year is really slow outside of the accounting firms.

Biglaw is still biglaw. A lot of people in these programs probably don't have the resumes that major firms want.

Apparently EY is reneging. Craziness.

Screw them. Can't communicate one number, and then make different offers to people in the same class. Not cool at all. On to bigger and better.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

Could you please expand on EY reneging? What were the different numbers, if you don't mind me asking?

Original offers were for $140k. But apparently they're not doing so well, so lowered offers for some people.
