0L job opportunities
I am a full-time worker who is currently studying for the LSAT and looking to go to law school in 2018. I've had a job in public relations for about three years at a large company, but I would really like to get legal experience (i.e. I want to quit my current job). Does anyone have any advice on job titles I should be looking for? I've hit some difficulty with trying to look for legal secretary/legal assistant positions - they either want 5 years of experience or if it's entry-level they want you to be bilingual or have a paralegal certificate. I interviewed for a half-marketing half-intake position at a small firm but I think they didn't hire me because I don't think they believed that I would take a salary cut to work there.

0Ls are not supposed to post here.
What you do before law school doesn't matter unless it's highly specialized to your target practice area. If you can, go travel for a year.

But seriously, just stick with your current job (unless you hate it). You'll probably be as marketable (if not more) with the PR gig than a run-of-the-mill legal assistant job.zot1 wrote:0Ls are not supposed to post here.
