Venable/Kilpatrick Lateral Salaries?

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Jan 07, 2017 12:37 pm

Looking at Venable and Kilpatrick positions in a major market (e.g., NY). What should a 4th or 5th year lateral expect for salaries at these firms? I see on ATL that, for major markets, Venable is market for the first three years, and Kilpatrick is market for the first year. Both have individualized raises thereafter, and are likely under market for most associates. So, do folks have any insight on likely 4th/5th year lateral salaries at these firms?

This ATL article has the Venable pay scale for last year, and the highest amounts under the new pay scale: http://abovethelaw.com/2016/06/could-a- ... firm/?rf=1

No one knows what they're going to get paid in 2017 because salary increases haven't been communicated yet - there will be a compensation meeting at the end of the month or in early Feb. I believe it'll be under market for most mid-levels, but the meeting date hasn't been set yet. Also, fyi most people are not paid the highest amount, with low performers getting less. Instead there's usually a "median" pay amount that's a bit lower than the highest amount.
