Not sure of any specific caps. I do know that some firms count your gross hours towards your billabels while others count net. As in, if it takes you 3 hours to do work, you will get 3 hours towards your billables, even if ultimately the firm only bills 2 hours. Other firms will only give you the net. As in if you take 3 hours to do work and the firm only bills 2 then you will only get 2 hours towards your billables. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone! Last quick question: I heard from counselors that if I go to a big law firm for litigation, then I will never see a courtroom for years and years to come. However, if I go to a smaller law firm, I may do both substantive legal research and litigation in the first 5 years. Is this true from your experiences?
