1 CB, 0 offers. It's not just you.
0 CBs, handful of dings, and radio silence from 6 others. The struggle is real.
Didn't really think this happened at berkeley. I have 1 CB and tons of dings

High like treble, puffin' on them mid-size law firms and hoping they aren't as cutthroat... I knew OCI would be a struggle, but I wasn't expecting it to be quite this rough.

I know friends doing 5-10 callbacks right now and holding multiple pre-OCI offers, so hopefully once they start cancelling and declining, those spots go to Boalties

so ridiculous how some people have 1 CB, others have offers and 10 CBs waiting. Guess some people are just really charismatic in interviews and have good grades. Not me I guess

Why didn't you think this happened at Berkeley...? If you look at LST, Berkeley has a large firm score of less than 50%, meaning some people are bound to strike out. If you don't want that to be you, you should mass mail. MM every firm you didn't get in front of at EIW and if you have ties to any other market, MM firms in those markets as well.

Accepted an offer this morning and canceled 2 CBs and withdrew from consideration from 4 firms where I had already had CBs. Hopefully, the next wave of CBs will start up for people who are still looking. Good luck!

FWIW I had 6 Hs and 1 P (Contracts) and did not have any distinction, so outside the top 25%.

Does Boalt award distinctions after 1L? For what it's worth, I work at a firm that hires Boalt students. 6 Hs and 1P is a solid transcript. I assume that's around top 25%.

Boalt awards distinctions for top 25%, top 10%, and top 3 but students aren't allowed to disclose them except for clerkship and academic applications.

OP w/ the 6 Hs here. Maybe in other years it breaks the 25% threshold, but not this year, apparently. I imagine I was pretty close at least, but it doesn't really matter anyway since I don't plan to clerk or go into academia. Pleased with my OCI turnout, however, as those grades landed several V5 offers, so I'd agree it's a pretty solid transcript.

Congrats. Yeah, at firms we have no idea what the exact line is for "top 25%" or "top 10%" in a given year. We just eyeball it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
