This is just my Texas info. For folks in the future, my first two screeners I gave generic COL based "why Texas" answers. I don't think that's enough for people without ties. The last one I talked about why that firm and it worked better. Obviously anecdotal.

7 CBs from under 50 MMs is a pretty insane return.

Must have been an incredible resume/cover letter combination.

Anon from above. I networked vigorously during 1L, and I was a RA for a well-known prof at my 1L school.

I mean even with those numbers 7/50 is phenomenal. Can you write up what you did for MMing and networking for the next gen?

Unless that professor was talking to firms about you, I can't imagine that RA position made much of a difference. But congratulations, regardless!

Thank you! My callback to offer ratio is actually abysmal/embarrassing. I think my MM efforts were probably just pure luck, or I just sounded really good over the phone.

I have a few 1Ls that have contacted me that I've sent personalize guides too. I planned on making those into a general guide for future gens in my position.

Thank you! Even though my CB/offer ratio is horrible, I think my path definitely adheres to the principle of never giving up in the job hunting process. Have to keep pushing through, you only need one offer. Absolutely crushed after OCI, but through luck, perseverance, and determination, I was able to land an amazing gig and I couldn't be happier in how things turned out.
