Has anyone that was selected as a finalist for D.C. ATR today received an offer? Is the assumption that it will most likely be a bit longer of a process since they expect 17 hires?

I haven't heard anything yet, but will say that they give you an offer for a specific section. I can imagine that takes a little while to figure out.

Me too She used the word "some" and said she does not know if this list is final so there may be SOME hope. But, she also did not say whether more are coming.

Quoted posted. I hope this is true, but I'm keeping expectations low. But her comments do seem to indicate that there weren't too many finalists posted, leading her to think that there could be more. Spreadsheet says that a few TLS members are finalists for tax, but there haven't been any offers reported. That suggests that they're still working through the list. That's the best scenario I can paint for us lol

Yes, as a tax finalist I'm very unclear on what is happening. No one I know of has received an offer at this point for at least Tax Crim, and my understanding is that they aren't close to making those calls yet. But who knows?

Tax-Crim finalist here. I got an email 11/9 asking to set up a phone call the next morning, and the phone call was to make the offer. Status changed in the "Selected by" column in Avue after the phone call.

Well that blows my theory haha! Don't want to be too specific, but my understanding was based on a recent conversation with someone in the division. Clearly that wasn't the case.

As a side note, this is why people should update the spreadsheet. Please. For all of our sanity.

I'm currently a finalist and to my knowledge, my references have not been contacted. Just trying to determine if that means I'm likely an alternate or if there is still a chance an offer may be forthcoming.

Second poster here (hi First, congrats!). I have no idea. I interviewed 10/18 and another division contacted my references that afternoon. I'm not sure if AFMLS contacted my references directly or contacted the other division. I usually hear from at least one of my references when she gets a call and only heard about the first division's contact. My AFMLS offer phone call happened around 9:30 am so I don't think AFMLS contacted my references a few hours before that!
