What component was that?

At least one of my references was called today. I interviewed for two components, and I have no idea which one it was that called.

How did you find the contact information for the attorneys that interviewed you to send thank you emails?

Thank you so much for your help and for answering questions. If the application status switches to "finalist," what exactly does this mean? Should I reach out to my component contact?

Thank you so much,

Melinda

So apparently statuses have already begun to change to "finalist"? Anyone else seeing a change?

I asked for business cards in the interviews. A couple gave them unprompted. The component contact would almost certainly have that info too.

No change for me. To be fair, she does say if. I'd agree that she's implying that her status changed, but this might also be some "what if" question.

Or she could be talking about SLIP?

Not to come off as having way too much time on my hands (just avoiding the MPRE), but doing a quick google of that name came up with a second year law student at Washington & Lee, which would mean (if it is the same person) her notification was for SLIP.

So much this. It's too much to hope they'll start calling next week, right? Even if references are being called already?

Honors applicant, not slip, status changed to finalist over the weekend, didn't specify for which components I interviewed for.

Which components did you interview with?

I only interviewed at the end of this past week (one of the last days of interviews), and I'm feeling vaguely like I got gipped if statuses were already changing over the weekend. There's no way they had time to review my file nearly as throughly (or call my references) as the people that interviewed in week 1. Hoping my component isn't one of the ones already picking finalists.

This isn't something to worry about. You're fine. They either want you or they don't - interviewing the last week isn't going to hurt you.

Last year, for ATR for instnace, no finalists notified till 11/30! So it would be bizarre, as there were interviews as late as Friday.

They're new system isn't great for applicants. I hope internally its a big improvement, haha
