So my career counselor told it me it might be helpful to network with some attorney's from the firms coming to OCI.
Has anyone done this?
If so, what is a good way to approach an associate or partner from a biglaw firm coming to OCI without being obvious about what I'm doing. Also, any suggested e-mail templates?

Re: Setting up Lunches with Attorney's Coming to OCI
I was out of my target market during 1L summer so I ended up doing a lot of phone calls, but this was really helpful at my 100% pre-select school. I went to an undergrad with a really great alumni network so I’d typically go to a firm’s website and see if anyone from my undergrad worked there. You can do the same with your law school network. Then I’d send something like this:
Subject: [Undergrad] Grad Connecting re [Firm]
Hello [Contact],
I am a 20[__] [Undergrad] grad and a rising 2L at [Law School]. I'm currently interning at [1L Summer job] doing [super brief description of work]. Before I apply through OCI this summer, I was hoping to pick your brain about [Firm] and your experience there. Would you be available for a brief phone call sometime over the next week or two?
My resume is attached for reference.
Thank you,
[Name]
Now through the end of July is a good time to do this, but once August rolls around, it becomes a little too transparent. I found that once screener lists came out, my response rate plummeted.
