Should I update my transcript for Diversity Job Fairs?

Postby Anonymous User » Mon Jun 27, 2016 11:50 pm

I don't want to because my Fall semester grade is great but my second semester sucks... If I don't add my second semester in my transcript, would I look bad or lazy? June - early July is the bidding period.

If this resume will be submitted or available for potential employers to access, then not updating would be dishonest. Don't do this. You will be found out sooner or later. If, however, you have a callback on the basis of your 1L first semester grades and the firm has not requested an updated resume, I don't see anything bad about providing when asked. It seems like your painting a different picture, however. If you will disseminating your resume and omitting important information, then you will have problems. Don't do this.

"forgetting" to update your resume like 2 months after grades come out is worse than having mediocre grades. All you'll be doing is setting yourself up to interview at firms that won't hire you once they see your transcripts.
