I did, so let me know if there are any errors in the deltas and I'll update the op.

Is there normally movement like this or does it stay pretty stable?

Although these are useless as ever, Shearman's free fall is pretty pronounced.

It's interesting to see Shearman and Milbank drop the last couple of years. Wonder if that reflects anything on the heavily transactional NYC firms.

Can anyone explain why K&L Gates had one of the biggest jumps on the list?

Reminder: Vault is entirely flame.

Prediction: That won't stop you preftige-titillated chucklefucks from making this a 100+ post thread.

But like the USNWR, it's kinda fun.

Cravath raised salaries and we appropriately matched their ranking.

Because enough junior associates thought it was a 5 instead of a 4 on the prestige scale to move its score up by 0.01.

So do they just give associates a list of like 100+ firms and ask you to rate their prestige from 1 to 5?

It was like 160 firms. I think the scale was 1-10. Then it lets you answer questions about your own firm.

The list of firms is so fricken long. You can rank any firm you want. Usually that's based on whether I've heard of the firm or not.

There's a bevy of queries for a whole bunch of factors. I guess they actualize the data at some point and spit out a ranking.

What do you do with firms you haven't heard of? Just give a low rating or not answer?

ETA: Interesting. Thanks AR.

I think I randomly gave ratings to about 20 of them. Left the rest blank.

Seriously, once you have actually done the Vault survey, you understand why these rankings are less than useless. It's complete nonsense.

This is kinda a different topic, but how does Chambers come up with its Bands?

Wachtell associates seek to flee in DROVES only to be snapped back by platinum ball and chain.

Marginally better, at least they talk to clients and do independent research, but still obviously very subjective.
