Re: NYU EIW 2016
How do we figure out how high to bid a particular firm (other than our personal preferences). Do we just try and guess how popular a firm will be and factor in the number of slots?

Re: NYU EIW 2016
To the poster above, I think that's the basic idea. Naturally, the firms with the most "prestige" but relatively low GPA floors seem like the ones that would go first.
Tentative Bidlist:
3.38 GPA (slightly above median?)
Leaning heavily toward transactional
No journal (LR or secondary)
Any firms that stick out as horribly misplaced or out of reach?

I've heard you can bid Texas firms lower, but I don't want to risk getting conflicted out of BB/VE/LL/NRF.

Looks good to me, but I don't know anything at all about Texas. Where are all our rising 3Ls at? I know there are some floating around here..

Not sure if things have changed since I interviewed, but wouldn't you want the firms with fewer interview slots (i.e. Texas firms) near the top? The Skaddens of the world tend to have larger class sizes so you can probably get an interview by bidding them towards the middle I would thing.
It's possible I completely inverted things when interviewed, but just my thoughts. if you're curious about bidding Texas specifically, shoot me a PM.

As a 3L involved in the journal selection process, I can tell you that if all goes according to plan, journal selections will be done by Monday. Can't promise that everyone will be notified by then (that's up to each journal), but fingers crossed.

Hi, transfer here. I was wondering if OCS provides any info for the number of each firm's interview slots and callbacks/offers extended from last year to help the bidding process.

^ Same here. Does anyone know how the morning of sign up works? Specifically, is there any way to know which firms have open spots that we can sign up for in the morning of sign up, or is it something that we find out in the lobby at ~7:30 AM?
