What do you talk about during the lunch / dinner? Probably my least favorite portion of the CB process.

70% life 30% firm/work, roughly. It's certainly hard to relax because you're still in an interview. But don't worry about having like a call and response type conversation. Just think of it as a professional outing. I know this whole process can be emotionally exhausting since you have to be "on" all the time. But it's really not that big of a deal. At least you get a good meal out of it.

Just wanted to say I've heard of mass mail callbacks still going out. So if you're worried about striking out, or your options, keep fucking mailing. Don't stop until October or November.

How do you check if a firm gives 100% offers to 2L SAs? This firm I'm looking at says, on Vault, XX acceptances out of YY offers, but for other firms, it says, AA out of AA.

NALP is the best resource. Above the Law normally does a non-exhaustive list (http://abovethelaw.com/2016/08/summer-a ... -students/).

But bear in mind many firms will cold offer the summers they don't like. So you never know exactly what the true offer rate is. Just try not to be the social pariah of your class, or be the one known for getting too drunk or anything (even though that wouldn't be grounds for a cold offer at many firms). Just don't be dumb.

"We're offering the whole class this year!"

"You know anon, we'd prefer if you didn't come back next year. We will tell firms outwardly that you have an offer to come back, but this isn't working for us."

Meeting an attorney for lunch after getting an offer. Is there a dress code? Can I dress casually?
