Do any schools have job postings for non-traditional law career (VCs, etc)?
I've heard that at UChuicago, there were job postings on Symplicity for non-traditional law career such as VCs.. Does anyone know about how to get into non-traditional law career? I have business backgrounds prior to law school, and want to go back to the business world but I don't know how to get into.

Don't go to law school if you want to go into business, even at top schools with M7 business schools the barrier of entry is real high and nothing even close to something you can bank on. Easiest would probably be consulting but at least at HLS only BCG and McKinsey recruit at all and hiring rates are low.

This. Many of the people who make the transition either already have relevant WE or make jumps late in their career. There's no "track"--as such, if your goal is not to practice law, do not go to law school.Mack.Hambleton wrote:Don't go to law school if you want to go into business, even at top schools with M7 business schools the barrier of entry is real high and nothing even close to something you can bank on. UVA does.. I'd be surprised if other schools don't. Not that the fact that they're listed on simplicity is any big help. If you can get a non-traditional law job in finance or consulting or whatever, you're not getting it because of a hot lead on simplicity.
