1L Summer, Senator's Office in Judiciary Committee (Actual experiences?)

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Feb 18, 2016 3:33 pm

I did a search and found two threads where people speculate about whether this work would be valuable, and one asking about post-graduate clerkships. I am NOT asking about clerkships, nor am I worried about whether the internship will be legally relevant - curious to hear actual experiences or knowledge about the workings of the office (or similar offices)

Has anyone actually worked as a summer intern in a Senator's Office for the Judiciary Committee? What was it like? What sort of work did you get to do? Can you speculate as to whether such a position would involve any actual work related to a potential SCOTUS nomination?

Thanks in advance.
