If you don't mind questions, what does your firm target for your bonus? Also, did you come from biglaw? If so, how long were you at the firm for before moving in-house?

Out of order: The simple answer is yes (not a major market); approximately 3 years in private practice; TBD, I would safely bet the under on 25% of base for the discretionary bonus to start.

This sounds like a sort of project I would like to do. If you whip up a template for me, I'll gladly enter all of the data.

Alright, I've finished 8 pages so far. I'm going to stop for the day and resume when I get some free time over the weekend. Needs to be cleaned up a lot, but I'm just going to take this one step at a time.

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Not the hero we deserve, but the hero we need.

Do you have any suggestions regarding categories? Also, do you want all of the info on one sheet that you can sort by A-Z (and thus firm/gov't/etc. will group up) or do you want me to separate Firm/Gov't/Etc. into separate sheets? I could also do both. I don't really mind. I just want a product that's useful for everyone and convenient to use.

Here you go.

Let me know if you have any advice for improvements. If this can make it to the OP, I can edit as people post. Not a big fan of allowing others to edit on their own (trust issues, yo).

Thanks Mouse.
I know I'll never be rich but I feel comfortable now compared to my state prosecutor salary (which was half what I'm making now).
Let's see of this administration tries to alter pay or benefits and if so I may have to rethink long term plans.

Thanks! That is fantastic. The only suggestion I would have is to add the poster (if not anonymous) so it would be possible to look through their posts in case they have ever offered other insights regarding their job, benefits, etc.

This is a good suggestion. If I implement this, it will be sometime next week, because I have a lot of work to do in the next few days. Try to be patient though, because I'll be PMing each user one by one to get their permission. I don't want to be attaching usernames and job/salary info to a document that the original poster has no control over without getting their permission to do so first. I'll make sure to post again when I've updated the sheet.

Thanks for the feedback!

Absolutely, I definitely agree. Thanks again for doing this, I think we all appreciate it.
