When do biglaw bonuses actually get paid out?

It's firm dependent, it's usually in your bonus memo. Some pay the day they announce, some pay on the next pay day, and some pay in early 2016.

Varies dramatically. Generally, the market-setting firms pay in December (either the last or second-to-last week of the month), while other firms pay any time from January to March. Should be in your bonus memo, but, if it's not, ask around at your firm. Timing rarely changes year-to-year within a firm.
