Start Date Issue

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Nov 30, 2015 1:29 pm

Howdy folks... So, I accepted a start date of Jan 4th a few months ago and made holiday plans accordingly. Now, my firm is asking if I can start the week of Christmas. HR is saying I can stick to my plans, but I don't want this to hurt my reputation. Thoughts?

Similar thing happened at my firm this year. I opted to start early, my office mate started at regular time. While people appreciated me starting early, no one faulted office mate for starting late.

I wouldn't cancel any plans because of this.

Also, 3 months later, none of the people i work with know or care when i started.
