How bad do I have to fuck up 2L to not get no-offered at a V10? Forum

I'm at CCN and accepted an offer from a V10 with a 100% offer rate for next summer. I've been quite lazy this fall and completely fucked up a paper this week, which got me thinking--how bad do one's 2L grades have to be to get no-offered? I plan to get my shit together going forward but was just curious.

It really doesn't matter. Just don't fail, like the above poster said. A B in that class won't mean anything, assuming you really fucked up the paper.

I worked at a grade conscious v10 (to the extent that exists) and I went from top 10% 1L to median/ below median at CCN 2L. Didn't matter. They received my transcripts, too.

What about at 100% V14s? Have not read a page yet this semester.

V14 is double V7, could be rough.

If your V10 is anything but STB, it probably doesn't even matter if you get no-offered. I've heard through some very reliable sources that nobody outside the V5+STB will be able to match 190K. You're better off getting no-offered and doing 3L OCI while aiming higher, tbh.

Does this advice generally apply to V5s in satellite cities? Will a "W" raise eyebrows? I, too, have been phoning it in this year.
