Credit Suisse

Got an interview with Credit Suisse for their General Counsel Legal Associate Program.

Does anyone have any info about it? Hours, pay, exit options, etc?

Also heard that their NC offices only draws from Duke, UNC, and Vandy. Any truth to this?

When did you apply to this, and did you apply as a 2L or a 3L?

The couple attorneys I know who worked there hated it, but that's of course anecdotal and I don't have specifics. For the most part exit options will be to another bank or financial institution. I've known a couple people to get out of banks and make the switch to firms, but I don't think its very common.

No clue of their pay, but consider that the benefits will add a huge chunk to the salary and bonuses tend to be a higher percentage of take home than at say a big law firm since they are tied to the banks performance. You'll have lots of vacation when you factor in MTO and all the bank holidays.

Can confirm only UNC, Duke, and Vanderbilt. Holding CBs next week. Exit options are to other banks, and not much else. The obvious benefits of in-house (no billables, etc), but you end up pretty specialized which many see as a negative for exit options.
