Kirkland NYC Split Summer?

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Sep 06, 2015 8:04 pm

I was wondering if anyone has heard of Kirkland allowing NYC summers to split with another office? In particular I'm interested in a California office which has a decently sized group for my area, but am unsure if I should even broach the subject as I would still be happy staying in nyc and don't want to do anything to make them think I'm a flight risk.

If it matters I have not accepted my offer yet. Thanks!

A couple or more of people from this summer have done it. Both first half and second half.

At what stage do you need to have expressed interest in this? I would consider splitting Chicago and D.C. (have an offer from one and only expressed interest in that one throughout interview process).

Thanks for this info! To pursue this I was thinking of calling recruiting and expressing interest / exploring the possibility. Should I email instead and/or contact the CA office as well?

To the Chicago/DC poster, this is why I was a bit concerned as well as I only expressed NYC interest. Now that I know they do splits I'm not as concerned as both offices have my practice area, if thats true for you I think it would be fine.
