I think this varies too much from firm to firm to be able to make any assumptions about CB waitlists. The 3Ls I've talked to have pretty much given me the "don't read tea leaves, start mass mailing" when I've asked about firm silence, especially after the first week. I'm obviously a clueless 2L like the rest but I think TCR is to just
assume you've been dinged and proceed accordingly

I don't know, but I've never heard of it. That's something they should do.

they dont because they have no way of knowing who gets a callback unless students report it.

the general consensus of this thread seems to be if you haven't heard anything yet you're fucked...is there really no hope left for tomorrow-Wednesday?

Would you say this is for NYC & DC only, or includes secondary markets?

I think stragglers come in Monday, then some linger two-three weeks, judging by last years thread. (bad cbs)

There's no way of knowing, but some went out late last week.

It's definitely less true for secondary markets or smaller firms. Big firms in big markets will move the quickest.

From 2014/2013: definitely some callbacks during the 2nd and even 3rd weeks after OCI, but vast and increasing majority were dings

Definitely not true. Last year I had callbacks go up to 3 weeks past EIW. But do get ready to hustle/mass mail, etc. because better safe then sorry.

What about for firms that it doesn't seem like anyone has gotten a cb or ding? Is it possible they'll start sending out cbs early this week?

Do any of you guys know what callbacks are actually like? Do they ask tough questions or is it more of the same as screeners? Thanks!

I'm talking about firms that seemingly haven't sent out any callbacks. Do some Big Law NY firms first start sending out cbs 3 weeks later?

Any call backs from Milbank (DC), Willkie (DC), or Freshfields (DC)?
