I'm still waiting for 9 firms too. I worked HR before coming to law school. Silence for more than two weeks, even if a rejection, is not appropriate if you've met with a candidate in person. By now, firms should at least be sending a mass email explaining they need more time.

How about offers; will they come via email or a phone call?

Re: Georgetown - EIW 2015
Seems like offers always come by phone, possibly accompanied by an email or a second phone call from a recruiter. I was under the impression that cb dings would come by email or snail mail; that said, I met someone today who got a phone call ding, and he actually answered the call expecting an offer.

Re: Georgetown - EIW 2015
Eep-sorry to hear that. I have a CB w/ them soon, and I'm under the impression their CB to offer ratio is pretty low, so pretty nervous. How long did they wait (read: torture you) before letting you know? // Any helpful info you have about the CB process/style there would be great! Best of luck with future CB's and offersAnonymous User wrote:I know of at least a couple of Willkie NY offers that have gone out. Also, just got a Covington DC post-CB ding Any word from Cleary DC? I hear they tend to make their hiring decisions on Tuesdays.Anonymous User wrote:Any Willkie NY offers?

Re: Georgetown - EIW 2015
Approximate class rank: top 35% T1 (transfer)
Journal: No journal
Moot Court, Beaudry, etc.: None
IP background: None
Significant work experience: None
Years out of undergrad: K-JD
Prestigious undergrad: No
Other relevant factors: Second language, strong upward grade trend, athlete
Target markets: NY
Type of work sought: Transactional
Self-assessed interviewing ability: Good
Screeners or callbacks prior to EIW from mass-mailing: 0 (didn't mass mail)
Screeners received for EIW: 13
Callbacks received from EIW screeners: 5 (all NY V40)
Offers received: 1 (cancelled remaining callbacks)
Accepted: V10
Commentary: Was definitely not expecting this outcome with my stats. I think enthusiasm for the firm and strong interviewing skills go a long way. I would recommend practicing, but not too much - being genuine and less rehearsed lets you make a better connection with your interviewer. A lot of it is luck and just comes down to whether or not you click with your interviewer. Good luck everyone!
