Anyone know if ATL or Dallas regional offices of DOL have completed interviews?

Heard they've whittled it down, but not sure if they're done making offers yet

Has anyone who interviewed with FDIC received a rejection yet?

Anyone currently going through the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers process? If you've interviewed with the Chief Counsel and are determined "qualified", is the next interview in a district office a formality or are districts interviewing more than one person for a position?

Here's my understanding of the process, which I admit isn't very solid:

When you apply, your application goes to the couple of attorneys in charge of the honors program. They prequalify some of those resumes based on qualifications and location preferences. This leads to a chief counsel interview so he can "qualify" you.

After that, the applicant packages are forwarded to the specific districts based on location preferences. It is possible that some districts (or regions or divisions or whatever) don't get many, if any, resumes. In that case, an applicant package with similar location preference or based on qualifications may also end up in that pool as well.

In the spring (in the academic sense), the district counsel assess or has assessed the office's need for an honors attorney for the following year. Every office will vary, but because of budget constraints, you will only be contacted to interview if you're a finalist for the position.

The problem with usace is that it does not reserve spots every year for the HP program. Rather, each year, if locations need a new attorney, they may look into the HP applicants and hire one. This has something to do with the way usace is funded and the fact that given the complexity of the work, offices can hire experienced attorneys instead too. So an office may know they will hire someone in January or in March or in June, and that's when a candidate may be called. I guess what I'm trying to say is that usace is frustrating because you may have been prequalified but maybe the locations you selected won't have a need for you--or they may not know until July.

Does anyone know the timetable for when the chief counsel started reaching out for interviews?

Although finding this out is important, I have heard that it is not uncommon for the Chief not to interview someone until after an office has expressed an interest in a candidate.

I'm not telling you this to give you false hope, but rather so you are aware that even if you didn't hear from the Chief when others may have, it doesn't mean you're completely out of the running.

All of them? did they already complete their own interviews or do they just utilize the one interview with HQ from last year?

(1) About the USACE - I can say that I got an offer for an interview with the Memphis, TN office in late June/early July before the bar exam, so their time schedule can be completely screwy. I also had no contact with them for a qualifying, initial type interview before that interview offer came, so I wouldn't totally despair if you haven't heard anything. But at the same time, like others have said, I would not count on it because it seems super inconsistent.

(2) Anyone else heard anything from USPS? Initial interview for Atlanta office and they're currently conducting second-round/final interviews this week and next, and first round for DC/HQ tomorrow. Trying to get a sense for how many people are interviewed...

I think I saw someone got a rejection letter from State, anyone else hear anything? I know they don't have an actual honors program but assumed that a few people here may have sent in an application.

FYI- from anyone still waiting to hear from HUD- just received this email:
The offers for the Legal Honors 2016-2017 were extended in December 2015. All applicants will receive a letter in the coming weeks indicating that the selection process has ended.

Thank you for your interest in the program and we wish you well in your future legal career.

I applied at State as well and I haven't heard anything either. I do know that a friend got a rejection letter and I've tried to have my career office make inquiries into whether anyone else has heard anything, with no information.

Did they indicate if this was for HQ or region?
