very, very, very combative. Probably the most stressful interview i've been in. Their testing you - so just keep your cool, answer the questions and joke with them and its fine. But don't be throw off if they come at you hard.
Combative l? Interesting? Was this this year and what questions were you asked ? Was it just Clark and Johnson?
Same OP as above - I was referring to the executive round interview as being combative. The final round for the bronx was very chill, both clark and Johnson. They discussed my undergrad major, what brought me to NYC originally, why the bronx and why I wanted to be a DA. It was maybe 10 minutes total.

ooh I thought I was the only one applying to Miami on this thread! I had my final round over two weeks ago and haven't heard anything since. I was told they wouldn't be making offers for March or August until January at the earliest.

Checking in -

BX: Had my final round 12/01 - both Johnson and Clark were there. It was very short, 10 minutes, same type of green room scenario as described by others.

Queens: Have my third round scheduled for 12/10

Brooklyn: Finished all rounds, got a call to schedule a final, then when i try to check in I get radio silence. No one I know over there seems to have any insight either. Don't know of anyone who has had a final there.

DANY: Had my third round 12/17 - no word as of yet.

Nassau: first round scheduled next week

Miami: had my second but radio silence so far on the third

Dat feel when you answer avery blocked number with your official voice and it turns out to be a phone scammer :(

I had a similar experience - it took about a week between when I was called to initially schedule the fourth round and when the date was actually finalized.

If it helps - Brooklyn/Queens always called me from 718 numbers, not blocked

DANY's is blocked, but showed up for me as like +1111111111

How long did people wait between DANY second round and a call or email to schedule a third round? Or for a rejection? Basically how long did you wait to hear back from DANY after second round?

It took about a week until I heard I got a third round.

I know of people who had their second round at the end of September and are still waiting.

Has anyone else been really turned off towards an office because of an interview? I get everyone's gonna be a dick to applicants to force a discussion and see how you handle yourselves, but I mean beyond that.

I got the impression that an office really encourages their ADAs to push the limits towards misconduct, like as a policy.

I had a particularly intense second round that turned me off to an office at first, but the more I thought about it, it seemed like they were pushing me to stand up for myself and not be cowed, not that the guy actually was a dick in person.

Bronx: Final Round in November haven't heard anything

Kings: Panel in September, phone call in late October about deferment possibilities (for clerkships), unresponsive since then.

Queens: Panel last week. Was told if I hear back before January, it will be a rejection.

Has any NYC offices definitively made offers to 3Ls for their August/September classes?

So far I see one post about Queens, but unsure if lateral.

One post about a rare offer in Bronx.

One post about offers in DANY.

And a lot of complaining at how far behind Brooklyn is.

Out of the maybe dozen people I know (including myself) at multiple schools and who have interviewed at multiple offices I have heard of no offers.

I posted about Queens - 3L, not a lateral, I had a competing offer.

I can also confirm Brooklyn/DANY.

I can confirm Bronx- I know of one offer (the person did not have a competing offer).

Had my third round today and there were a ton of other people there so hopefully more soon?

Bronx tends to do a "green room" type deal I outlined earlier in the thread. Essentially they book 4 people for a half hour slot and see them 1 at a time. People inevitably come early and the process runs late, so you end up potentially seeing like 10-12 other candidates there.

I like it; talking to the other candidates "warms you up". It sucks that on some level you are competing with them (for literally every office), but if you make it into the same class you already have some rapport built up.

EDIT: For Third Round.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
