Most/all? firms send those. They go to all candidates and don't signal anything about chances of getting an offer.

If my callback was earlier than someone who got an offer, does it mean I have no chance at an offer?

Proceed with what?

Not necessarily. There are all sorts of reasons for this - one of your interviewers didn't fill out the evaluation in time for the hiring committee, you're still in the running but the firm is waiting to see about yield before it makes a final decision on you, etc. Wouldn't give up all hope yet, although that's definitely not a great sign.

No. You already went through the screener and they've most likely already decided whether or not to give you a CB. There's nothing you can say to change the outcome, so just be patient until you hear one way or another.

Probably a long shot, but do firms pay for travel for a "second visit" post offer?

All of the firms that have given me offers have offered an "all expenses paid" second trip... Usually it says so in the offer letter, but if not, I think they'd be happy to, just ask the recruiter

. Yea I don't see it as a glimmer of hope; A&P NY was (I think) the only firm that asked me to fill out an EEOC form during a period of silence.

All of the firms that rejected me via email post-screener were quick and clean about it--they didn't even bother to send the (probably meaningless gov-contractor formality) EEOC form.

So I just noted that A&P was anomalous in that regard.

Are other people getting rejected by multiple firms post-callback that had 85% and 90% callback acceptance rates in previous years? Or am I just the worst callback interviewer ever?

If you are getting rejected from firms with 80%+ CB to offer rates, its time to reevaluate your CB approach and tweak accordingly.

Or your grades weren't actually good enough, and your CB interviewer just really liked you.

Yes, this happens. (Not often though).

People who interviewed w/ McKinsey @ EIP: I'm trying to make sense of the EIP data. It says the Screener:CB:Offer figures are 54:18: 3-5 (somewhere in that neighborhood).

But since McKinsey's interview "rounds" are probably unique among those who come to EIP, it's unclear whether the 18 CB figure means that (A) 18 people were invited to IWIA or (B) 18 people passed IWIA and were invited "back."

I can't really see McKinsey just mass inviting all ~60 EIP screeners to IWIA.

So did anyone who did EIP with them at the Charles NOT get an IWIA invitation?
