I have heard from approximately half my firms one way or another but still have over a dozen outstanding.

Sigh. Still haven't heard back from my Monday callback. That means I'm out, right?

ˆ Not necessarily. Talking to a partner at another firm yesterday, he said that after callbacks they sort people into definite offers, maybes, and definite no-offers. I'm not sure if the same system applies everywhere, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did, in which case you could just be in the middle bracket.

A firm just emailed me my callback interview schedule for Monday, and I am interviewing with three associates and a counsel, but no partners -- worth reading anything into this?

Normally how much time would it take a firm to make a decision after a callback?? I know this has been discussed in past years and answers varied a lot, but I've heard people say that if they really want you they'll get back to you almost immediately, and if you don't hear from them within 3-5 days either it's a slow ding or you are on their wait list. Does that sound about right?

Has anyone heard anything, even second hand, from Fenwick and West? Good or bad?

Career services told me that most firms send out ding letters, so the fact that I didn't hear anything means that I'm at least still in the running. But to be honest, at this point, I kinda wanna just know and be put out of my misery....
